Boost your immunity!

The right 'DESI' path to IMMUNITY

Prevention is better than cure. The most common but rarely practiced phrase. At present time this phrase becomes extremely important. Covid 19 virus is ready to attack us at any point of time, hence, we have tui take certain preventive measures so that we can fight corona virus effectively.

This can be done through improving your immunity. The moist common way to do that is to have decoction commonly called as काढा in India. India is the storehouse of ' desi path to improve your immunity'. India has an amazing wealth of Ayurveda.

Immunity

Immunity is your body's ability to recognize germs to prevent them from causing illness. Immunity is the system of body that will help you'll to fight dangerous virus and will protect you if you'll get weaker by attacks of viruses.

Real meaning of DECOCTION!

It can be of any such thing including ; ginger, turmeric, black pepper, liquorice (मुलेठी) , cinnamon, basil, etc. Decoction is not a recipe but a method for the recipe. This is nit a medicine but acts as medicine when given in correct quantity, to the right person and made with the correct method.

Ingredients

Ingredients can include ; basil leaves, cinnamon, liquorice, black pepper, cloves, etc. The preparation should be according to the needs of an individual. It not like that you'll put handful of everything and it'll improve your immunity. If you are a beginners, I'll advise you to go slow and start with less quantity. If your putting cloves and black pepper please do not put much of liquorice . Manage the quantities of every ingredient carefully.

Weather and Decoction!

When weather changes , the type and also the ingredients used in decoction should also change. The decoction made in the months of March to April cannot be used for forthcoming months.
Due to the lack of knowledge people keep on having the same decoction all the year round. At present situation people prefer to make proper distance from cold substances. Usually this time people prefer cold drink and lemonade, but due to current situation people prefer decoction(काढा).
I am pretty sure most of you would have taking decoction twice or even thrice a day. But this is not correct according to the weather conditions. It's hot and humid now, so excess of decoction would lead to problems.
Major problems occurs to those who already have ' digestion ' related problems.

Excess of decoction!

Disadvantages:

  • Pimples can occur on face and on your back
  • Acidity
  • You don't get hungry easily. It's a lack of hunger.

Benefits:

  • Keeps your throat good
  • Relaxes your cough related problems
  • Increases immunity if made properly
  • If you are a bit fat then it's extremely helpful in melting fat from your body.

Who should not have it?

  • If you have ulcers in stomach do not consume it
  • If you have kidney related issues.
  • If you have blood piles
  • Children below the age of five year should nit not have it as it will be difficult for then to digest decoction.

The right way to make a decoction.

Use less of ingredients. It's not like that more will give you more benefits, in fact it's vice versa. Use ingredients very carefully. It can also be made as milk as base to make it a bii lighter. If you have any problem due to intake of decoction please discontinue it and consult a doctor.

The central government's Ayush Mantralay has given certain helpline numbers for each state go and check on them. You can even get the correct process for making a decoction just over the phone!

Yellow Light

Traffic light ; just a normal thing!  Going on a very casual journey, sitting in an auto rikshaw, I noticed something extremely abnormal. You all might, some point of time, must have noticed a traffic signal. If not let me tell you. It usually have three coloured lights - red, 'yellow' and green. These three coloured lights have their independent significance. Red light says- STOP, Yellow light says- WAIT and Green light says- GO!  The abnormal thing that i noticed was that 'Yellow' light was absent in most of the traffic signals I crossed. Pondering on this questions like - "Why there is no yellow light in the signal? What is it's significance? Is it less significant or what?  Let me widen your narrow thinking perspective on this. The yellow light tells the traffic to be patient and wait, and be ready for the green light. Now link this to our lives. We just STOP and GO, i. e, we only see the RED and GREEN light , when a problem struck us! We just need a possi...
